At ERCO, we believe families deserve access to meaningful, high-quality educational choices and that strong community schools require strong sponsorship. Since our founding as a nonprofit organization in 2005, ERCO has worked to protect the public interest while respecting school autonomy and supporting schools in fulfilling their unique missions.

Effective sponsorship is more than compliance. As an Ohio community school sponsor, ERCO provides independent oversight to ensure schools meet applicable requirements, demonstrate academic progress, and operate responsibly. We combine rigorous accountability with responsive support, working closely with governing authorities, school leaders, and educators to build strong systems, meet high standards, and improve outcomes for students.
