The Assistive Technology and Accessible Educational Materials (AT&AEM) Center Positions Available
The Assistive Technology and Accessible Educational Materials (AT&AEM) Center powered by OCALI is seeking to fill two news positions, AEM Specialist and Braille/VI Consultant. Please follow the links for more information and the application for each position.
These new positions will join a dynamic staff committed to supporting the access needs of students and individuals with disabilities.
The AT&AEM Center (ataem.org) is a centralized, responsive resource center that empowers individuals with disabilities by providing accessible educational materials, access to assistive technologies and highly specialized technical assistance, and professional development support.
Special Education Regional Summits
Thank you to those who participated in our first two Special Education Leadership Summits. There is still space available at our Athens location on February 1, 2017, however registration has now closed for the last Summit in Bowling Green on February 7, 2017. • Southwest: January 19, 2017 at the Hope Hotel and Richard C. Holbrooke Conference Center, Dayton, Ohio (Thank you for attending!)
• Northeast: January 26, 2017 at La Pizzaria, Canton, Ohio (Thank you for attending!)
• Southeast: February 1, 2017 at Ohio University Baker Center, Athens, Ohio (Space is still available!)
• Northwest: February 7, 2017 at Bowling Green State University Grand Ballroom at the Bowen-Thompson Student Union, Bowling Green, Ohio (Registration is closed; no walk-in registration is allowed.)
The Regional Summits will provide information and discussion around the topics of literacy, school climate and discipline, graduation options for students with disabilities and transition. Sessions will include updates regarding the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), as well as data and trends related to the state of special education in Ohio and at the national level.
