August 2, 2017 - 5M in funding for new, innovative schools

Hi Leonard and Aaron,

My name is Jessica Andre, and Im reaching out from NewSchools Venture Fund, a national nonprofit that supports and invests in promising, innovative teams of educators and entrepreneurs who want to reimagine learning for Prek-12 students. NewSchools invests in three areas: innovative schools; tools and services; and diverse leaders.

This week, we launched our application for NewSchools Invent, a great opportunity for educators and entrepreneurs planning to launch new, innovative district or charter public schools. Successful applicants will receive $100K-$200K for 6-14 months to plan their schools, management assistance from our team and our partners, participation in a community of practice to learn and grow with other school founders across the country.

Do you know any compelling educators or entrepreneurs who are thinking of starting a new school in 2019? If so, wed love to speak with them, chat about the opportunity and explain the ways were planning to connect with applicants. Would you like me to connect you to someone on our team to talk more about the opportunity and how we might share this information with your networks? Please let me know.

In the meantime, I am attaching our flyer for you to share and I hope youll consider promoting this opportunity through your social channels. A few sample posts for social media are listed below.
